Departures

For any commercial flight departure, COHOR allocates departure slots by taking into account terminal capacity. The coordinator evaluates the impact of any slot coordination by taking into account the seat capacity, an average load factor of 85% and the maximum numbers of passengers:

675 passengers per rolling 20 minutes with a step of 10 minutes
1600 passengers per rolling 60 minutes with a step of 10 minutes

For any departure of a commercial flight to a destination outside the Schengen area, the coordinator allocates departure time slots respecting the following gaps between two flights:

  • For aircraft with a capacity of less than or equal to 210 seats, 20 minutes gap with the previous departure to a destination outside the Schengen area.
  • For aircraft with a capacity of more than 210 seats, 40 minutes gap with the previous departure to a destination outside the Schengen area.

Those maximum numbers are the result of a capacity study taking into account the presentation curves of passengers arrivals at the terminal. For the application of the parameters, it is considered that all passengers arrive at the terminal at the departure time of the flight.
